Short Term Accommodation (STA) & Respite
Respite care and short term accommodation services allow for NDIS participants to take a break from daily life. Subject to eligibility, NDIS participants with funding for respite care and short term accommodation services may be entitled to up to 28 days per year of accommodation. The 28 days can be used for varying duration of breaks ranging from 1 to 14-days. We help our NDIS participants access respite care and STA services at times and in locations that are convenient to them and their families.
What is Respite Care and Short Term Accommodation (STA)?
Short Term Accommodation, including respite, is support for when NDIS participants need to live out of home for a short period. Our participants can choose a friend, family member, a paid support worker or a volunteer to accompany them during the break period. Participants can stay for as long as needed (up to 14 days). A short term break away from daily life allows our participants to make memories, explore new experiences and make new friends during a short stay away from home.
How can we help you?
We can help connect our NDIS participants with a tailored and highly individualised short term break. Our team will discuss in detail the types of experiences, care needs and accommodation our participants are looking for before providing a list of choices for our participants to choose from. Our primary aim is to ensure our NDIS participants safely enjoy their short term break to its fullest. We will handle all of the administration, allowing our participants to focus on making the most of the experience.
