Early Childhood Support

What is Early Childhood Support & Key Worker Approach?

At Ready Set Care we believe every child with developmental delay or disability deserves to have the support they need to have the best start in life. NDIS Early Childhood Supports provide support for children 0-8 years old who meet the eligibility requirements. We utilise a Key Worker approach to deliver this support. A Key Worker will work with you and your child to help build capacity and everyday skills in children to promote learning and development. A Key Worker is a trained professional with experience in childhood development and will be the main point of contact for families. They will deliver most of the therapies and interventions, whilst also coordinating with other therapists’ as needed. Our team of Key Workers can include early childhood educators, speech pathologists and occupational therapists. Supports may be delivered in group or individual settings.

Group Therapies

We offer group therapies to enable children to practice skills in a realistic setting. This can be a cost effective way of getting a block of therapy.
Our group programs are varied and cater for a variety of needs with programs varying throughout the year depending on the needs of our participants. The programs are designed to provide opportunities to develop skills in small groups with 1-2 facilitators.
They ca be an effective way of promoting skills such as sharing, turn taking, emotional regulation, resilience and confidence.

Individual Therapy

Our activities are designed to keep your child engaged, whether it’s learning how to draw the solar system or memorizing a song about the seasons.
